Commissioned by Private Estate Athens, Greece
Revitalization of an old lake receiving a continuous inflow of polluted agricultural runoff from nearby fields, grey and potentially black water from nearby residences, and contaminated wells. The lake and water systems were redesigned to create a self-sustaining lake of 0.8 hectares, a daily average water capacity of 2400 m3 using the NBSTM in order to recover the lake for swimming and recreational uses, and excess clean water is used for irrigation.
